HI. My husband wants to bring our shasta daisy indoors for the winter. It is still blooming and looks lovely.
I'm worried though that it needs a cold period to come up next year. Can we keep it inside and still expect
it to grow in the spring?

This particular perennial does best with annual division in order to keep it vigorous and in best blooming condition. Although you might be able to bring it into a greenhouse and succeed in having it cycle into bloom again, I would expect the plant would exhaust itself as a result. You would also have some difficulty in providing it with enough light to stay healthy. Sometimes, too, part of the beauty of perennials is knowing that the bloom is only temporary.
