Help!!! We have been trying to help our lawn-which was neglected by the home's previous owners and have been doing well except for the violets!! They keep spreading!!! They now cover a approx. 8'X8' area-what can we do-? |
Violets can be a real pest in a lawn. You might decide that they are pretty enough to tolerate, or you might decide to eradicate them. If you decide to fight them, the most reliable method is to use an herbicide containing glyphosate according to the label instructions. This is a contact herbicide and will kill grass as well as violets. Afterwards, you will need to replant the area with grass. Violets spread by seed and by runner, so you may need to treat the area more than once. |
