I am moving and would like to take some of my herbs to my new home. Can I propagate spearmint and chocolate mint from root cuttings? And what about anise? |
Mints grow readily from roots, or pieces of stem that have begun to sprout roots. This is why mints are often invasive -- they spread very easily. Dig up small sections of your mints and pot them up. Anise has a taproot, and doesn't transplant easily. You'd probably be more successful saving seeds from your anise to sow in your new garden. |
