I am fairly new at gardening and am planning my gardens for next year. I have two beds that get full eastern sun from about 7:00 am to 12:00 noon. Of course, I want to grow thing that seem to say "full sun". Any chance I can get away with planting them in my eastern facing beds. |
In a word, yes. Look especially for things listed "full sun to partial shade" and they should do fine. With a little experimentation you will find which plants really do the best for you and can concentrate on those. In general a location with six hours of sun including the hour of noon would be considered full sun, even though morning sun is gentler than afternoon sun or sun all day. |
