The Q&A Archives: Watering In Bulbs

Question: Do you water in bulbs (tulips and daffodils) after planting?

Answer: Yes. One deep watering is usually sufficient in your region until the bulbs sprout in spring. When the foliage reaches 2-3 inches high, start watering to keep the soil moist (but never wet) during growth and blooming. Water slowly and deeply so that the roots get the moisture. Hope you have a great spring color display!
