We never planted corn, I think it must have come from the bird seed. It is growing in alot of areas in our yard and and we don't know how to get rid of it (we kept pulling it out all summer) and it just has takem over. Is there any way to "kill" it?

Individual corn plants would be easy to pull when small and will freeze to death over the winter. To be honest, I am not sure the plant is truly corn. If the problem reappears next summer, you might want to contact your county extension for a definite identification of the plant and suggestions for how to deal with it.
