I planted some bearded irises as soon as I received them from Burpee, about a month ago. The foliage when I receive them was fairly green, but the tips were brown. I have been checking up on them, and have found that the green foliage has browned even more, is that normal? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Newly planted iris should show some new foliage growth (starts of new leaf tips) at the base once they root and become established. The old trimmed leaves may continue to brown since the roots are still becoming established and may not be able to support that old growth, or they may have been too dry to recover. Gently trim away any browned foliage.
