Any suggestions on how to keep our cats from munching on house plants (esp violets) in our garden window? We have heard that you can buy a product in pet stores to spray on the plant and container. Is this effective?
Thanks,
L. Ryan

At our house, the repellent (we tried Bitter Apple) had no effect on our cat's munching, but you might have better success. Some gardeners find it necessary to place the plants in a room where the pet is not allowed. Since your cat is a known muncher and some plants are toxic, this may be a safer way to go.
