We have purchased a new house in the same town we are currently in. I have two hybrid roses that I want to take to the new house. We can begin moving in on December 2. What is the best way to bring my roses with me and be sure that they have a decent chance of survival? Would it be better to transplant them into a large pot now and then transplant them at the new home in spring?

Yes, I'd agree that potting them up and transplanting in spring would be the best option this late in the year. If you tried to transplant them now, they wouldn't have time to develop a root system to withstand the winter cold. Good luck on your move!
