I love the service you offer here. My question today is about a very thick weeded area on my property. It is high maintenance. We let it get way out of hand this summer, basically it hasn't been touched since last summer. Needless to say it is overgrown. We spent all day Saturday tearing down all the weed trees(there are still a lot left). What I would like to know is, what would you suggest to plant there that would help eliminate(smother) the weeds so we won't have to spend so much time slaving over it. The area is actually 15'x45' and unfortunately it is a pretty much wasted area. It is not accessible to the rest of our yard. Thank you for all that you're doing. This is awesome. |
grass before putting down the plastic, that will heat things up considerably. Or, you can use a product with glyphosate, such as Round Up. Glyphosate is a systemic. This means when it is sprayed on a plant, the plant absorbs and distributes it throughout its system. Eventually, it kills the entire plant, including the roots. The spray can drift to other plants, particularly if there is any breeze, and kill them also. With any product, be sure to read the label and make sure it applies to your situation. Then follow product instructions exactly. grass before putting down the plastic, that will heat things up considerably. Or, you can use a product with glyphosate, such as Round Up.
