I have very limited space in my garden and would like to try the "three sisters" combo. I was planning on using zucchini and patty pan squash (will these work o.k.?) but I don't really like green beans or cooking dried beans (use canned) Will peas work? I love fresh peas.

The beauty of the "three sisters" is that the plants all provide something for each other. The beans are able to climb up the corn stalks, and being a legume, they also "fix" nitrogen in the soil. Since peas can climb and are also a legume, they should work as a good substitute. Any squash will be fine. Good luck!
