i was thinking of growing a ground cover around my blueberries to cut down on the weeds. i was thinking of growing white clover, since the seeds wouldn't disturb the roots and it could handle the foot traffic. do you have any other suggestions? |
Blueberries are shallow rooted plants and require an evenly moist (yet well drained) soil. The clover might act as a strong competitor for moisture. For this reason I would suggest using a layer of organic mulch such as compost mixed with pine needles or bark around the shrubs rather than a growing plant. |
