I dug up tulip & hyacinth bulbs and never planted them (was in hospital). What can I do? Can I still plant them or can I plant them in containers to transplant in the spring? Help!

You can plant bulbs up until the ground is so frozen that it is impossible to dig the holes. In my experience, this is easier than trying to plant them in containers and then provide the necessary chilling time for the containers. Hope you are feeling better.
