| For many years I have grown morning glories with magnificent results. The leaves have been up to 9 inches across and my flowers up to 7 inches in diameter. But althought they have done so well they never come back the next year. My neighbor has also grown them and even though hers hasn't done a good as mine, hers do come back year after year to the point that her yard is pretty much over taken with them. Why are hers coming back and mine aren't? |
| I would suspect that you may be doing something to the soil that prevents the seeds germinating, either using a pre-emergent herbicide or mulching heavily over top the fallen seeds, or possibly turning the seeds under deeply each fall or early in the spring. |
