| What is the method of forcing amaryllis bulbs in water? I have my tall cylinder vase, marbles or polished river stones, and the bulb. I think I should use distilled water, but I'm worried about the base of the bulb rotting. What should the water depth be? Is the bloom time the same as in dirt (@ 6 weeks)? I want to give them as gift plants and need to include directions. I saw them at Smith and Hawkins last year in St. Paul and they were GORGEOUS! Thanks. |
