eight years ago i planted three lilacs. one of them my husband repeatedly mowed over. the other two are about four feet high while this one is six inches. last year i moved it to a safe place and now wonder if it will ever get big? |
It is possible the plant was stunted by the severe and repeated trimming, but lilacs are very tenacious plants. Assuming it is happy in the new location, I would expect it to grow for you. Make sure to treat it like any new plant with water as needed to keep the soil moist (but not soggy) for the entire coming growing season. Time will tell for sure. |
