Last year I planted tomatoes & as the fruit was forming the leaves began to wilt. Most of the plants died before I was able to harvest any tomatoes. This was the first time I have had trouble with tomato plants. Many people in my area had the same problem with there tomatoes. This happened with all the varities that I planted.

How frustrating! Unfortunately, based on the information in your question I can't specifically identify the problem. Since it is important to know what it was when deciding which tomatoes to plant this year (in case it is something you can prevent happening again by growing certain varieties resistant to it or by different cultural practices)I would suggest you contact your county extension. They should be aware of any locally significant problems including those that could have been caused for example by the weather patterns last year, and they should be able to make suggestions as to how to combat it or recommend the best varieties to grow in your area. Their phone number is 473-2540. I hope you have better success this year!
