The Q&A Archives: Citrus Seeds

Question: Do you have any catalogs where I can purchase citrus seeds such as grapefruit, orange, lime or lemon?

Thank you!

Answer: These plants are normally propagated by grafting to ensure reliable and consistent quality of fruiting, so seeds are not usually sold. You can certainly save seeds from citrus fruits and plant them, however. If you try this, do not expect the plant to produce fruit that is of the same quality as the fruit you took the seed from.
