Aphids can be controlled in a number of ways. One is to knock them off with a strong spray of water from the garden hose. Another is to treat them with insecticidal soap according to the label instructions. Yet another is to introduce predatory insects such as lady bugs to eat them. Finally, making sure your plants are not overfertilized can also help since aphids are especially attracted to overly succulent tender new growth.
