| How many hours of sun do I need to grow vegetables? I have many trees in my yard, but there are certain areas that get about 6 hours of sun a day. Is that enough? Is it about the same requirement as for roses? |
| Most vegetables grow far better with full sun all day long, although many will tolerate only six hours of full sun IF those hours include the hour of noon. The rule of thumb would be similar for roses, although in my experience I have found that some roses are more shade tolerant than others and will actually bloom with even less than six hours of sun. |
