The Q&A Archives: Care For Cape Primrose

Question: I have a cape primrose that I bought in bloom Feb.2000. How do I get it to bloom again and do I cut it back?

Answer: Fertilize with a phosphorous source such as bone meal to promote bloom. Streptocarpus like consistently moist soil and do better in partial or full shade conditions. Don't cut it back; it should form clumps over time.
