I missed the Fall planting season which would have yielded me Spring's tulips, crocus, etc... What will be available
for me to plant/enjoy in the Spring?

There are many spring blooming annuals and perennials. You might look for violas, pansies, dianthus, sweet alyssum and forget-me-nots early in the season. Arabis, creeping phlox, violets, and Virginia bluebells are very early blooming perennials that come to mind.
