The Q&A Archives: Lawn Care

Question: My lawn (Maranthon)is damaged year around in the section of the lawn where my dog urinates. What treatments, if any and short of getting rid of my dog, would you suggest.

Answer: You can dilute the urine with water from the hose to minimize its effects on the lawn, but that means watching your dogs to see where they "go". This might be difficult if your dogs have free reign, such as a fenced yard. If the dogs are only allowed out on leashes, you'll have a better chance of identifying and treating the spots in question.
