I covered my crotons during a freeze but the leaves still fell off. Will the plant survive?

Shelley,

The trunks are a bit hardier and may have made it through. I would wait and watch for a week or so. If the entire plants turn brown or black they are most likely lost and should be removed. Some sections may stay healthy, normal color. These are undamaged and will resprout. After a week or two, prune the plants back to the healthy sections, removing freeze damaged plant sections. When the weather warms up they should resprout new shoots.
