| Some of the most attractive broadleaf evergreens suitable for a low to medium height hedge include Abelia grandiflora (glossy abelia) Berberis (barberry), Buxus (boxwood - no flowers, but attractive leaves), Escallonia, Thuja and Viburnum. Another consideration is Nandina (heavenly bamboo). The flowers are inconspicuous, but the foliage changes from green to red in the autumn and the shrubs produce red berries.
