I just purchased some packages of hostas and daylilies and was wondering when it will be safe to plant them. I live in zone 8. The plants are sprouting in the bags.

Thanks,
Judy

If the plants are sprouting, they're ready to grow! Plant them outdoors now. If the weather gets (or stays) cold, they will stop growing, but the roots will remain healthy and new sprouts will appear in early spring.
