I HAVE A VERY LARGE TREE NEAR THE HOME I PLAN TO PURCHASE.ACCORDING TO THE OWNER ITS BEEN THERE OVER 20 YEARS BUT I FEEL ITS TOO CLOSE TO THE HOME. PREVIOUS OWNERS HAD A CEMENT WALKWAY NEAR IT WHICH IS NOW RAISED FROM THE ROOTS AND TREE GROWTH AND ALSO CLOSE TO THE DRIVEWAY. HOW DO I GO ABOUT REMOVING IT COMPLETLY AND WHAT ARE THE COST?

Generally it would involve cutting it down, hauling away the wood, and possibly grinding out the stump and roots. Tree removal costs vary from area to area so unfortunately I could not give you an approximation of the cost to remove that tree. I would suggest you contact several reputable companies in your local area for estimates.
