The Q&A Archives: "pests"

Question: I wanted to know if there are any plants that would keep bugs called "box elder bugs" away from certain areas. The trees that they come from are not on my property.

Answer: Unfortunately, I am not aware of any such plants for repelling box elder bugs. If they are coming indoors, your best bet is to caulk and seal all gaps they might use to enter the walls or attic, especially on the sunny south and west sides. You might want to consult with your county extension (690-2655) to see if they have additional suggestions.
