Although there are some true crocus that bloom in the fall, we most often find another plant, Colchicum, which looks like crocus and blooms in the fall -- there are several varieties. General line suppliers as well as bulb specialists such as as McClure and Zimmerman, 108 W. Winnebago St., PO Box 368, Friesland, WI 53935-0368 (800-883-6998)occasionally offer these in their catalogs.
