| I HAVE SEEN A STRANGE LOOKING FLYING INSECT AROUND MY BUTTERFLY BUSH AND CONTAINER PETUNIAS AND WAS WONDER WHAT KIND IT IS. ITS IS APPROXIMATELY THE SIZE OF A HUMMINGBIRD, IS GREENISH GREY IN COLOR, HAS THE BACK END OF A LOBSTER HAS A CURLING PROBOSCUS LIKE A BUTTERFLY. ANY IDEAS??? |
| It is probably one of the assorted larger moths that occasionally fly by day, such as the hummingbird clearwing, the bumblebee hawk and the white-lined sphinx moth. The sphinx moth is often seen in the garden; its larvae are hornworms such as those that attack tomatoes. |
