What flowers & shrubs grow best in heavy clay soil ?

The following plants grow without problem in clay soils: English Oak, Michaelmas Daisy, Crocosmia, Helenium, Inula, Weigela, Viburnum, Rudbeckia, Solidago, Buxus, Forsythia, Spiraea, Anemone, Lysimachia, Narcissus, Prunella, Digitalis, Polemonium and Hemerocallis (daylily). With these choices, you can have a lovely garden!
