The Q&A Archives: Expecting New Growth in Hosta

Question: I planted Hosta and Day Lilies last week (shipped from Burpee). About how long will it take to start to see some growth? Gene Robillard Stoneham, MA

Answer: Bare-root plants need time, warm soil, and constant moisture for their root systems to become established. It might take another couple of weeks before you see new shoots.
