I am looking for a medium sized pumpkin with edible seeds. It would be nice to have one that grows to 9-12 inches diameter, in a relatively short season (frost-free May 15-Sept 15 most years, longer sometimes). Can you suggest a variety?

Here is the description of Triple Treat from Burpee's website. It sounds like what you're looking for.

Triple purpose, bright orange-skinned, round pumpkins 9in.
across weigh 8lbs. Good for Halloween carving. Thick, deep orange flesh is excellent for pies. Hull-less seeds are delicious raw or cooked. Ready for harvest 110 days after sowing. GARDEN HINTS: For short summer areas, start
seeds indoors in individual containers 3-4 weeks before outdoor planting time.
