My sweet peas have started out very well, each plant has about 4 separate stalks that have just started to grow up. Should I cut them back to encourage the remaining stalks or leave them? What's the best way to support the sweet peas? They don't want to grab onto the bamboo posts I've put out.

Sweet peas can be a bit touchy but when they reach 4-6 inches tall, you can carefully pinch them back to encourage them to branch out. They usually will start clinging to support when they get a little taller, but you can encourage that by gently wrapping their tendrils around.
