I must have planted my bulbs too shallow, the leaves are starting to come up, will the snow or frost to come damaged the buds? Should I cover them to protect them?

It is normal for foliage of many bulbs such as daffodils and crocus to be coming up already. They are very winter hardy and the cold or even future snow should not damage them too much or keep them from blooming later. Sometimes the foliage shows a little tip burn, but that is not life threatening.
