How mature does the blueberry plant need to be before it starts producing fruit? If I buy one this year, will it produce fruit this year?

Blueberry plants (Vaccinium) begin producing fruit when they're 3-4 years old. If you purchase 2-3 year old plants this year, they should produce a small crop next year.
