What zone am I in? Also, can you recommend a couple of plants that will do well in a wishing well? I'm looking for something that will flow over the sides as well as bloom. More than one variety will be good. This well receives full sun and faces west. The well is about 24" in diameter. I'm not going to use the well as a planter but plan on using a separate pot that will be inserted and elevated to the top of the well.

You're in the mildest-winter zone, USDA zone 10, where annuals can perform as perennials. Some suggestions for full sun exposure trailing plants include Nasturtium, Pandorea, Hibbertia scandens (Guinea Gold Vine), Thunbergia alata (black-eyed Susan vine), Ivy geranium, cascading Petunia, Lantana and trailing Verbena.

Pay careful attention to watering needs - containers dry out quickly during hot summer weather!
