The rabbits have eaten the bark off clear around my apple tree trunks. Is there any thing I can do to save them?

Ronald,

Yes there is. You can place a number of "bridge grafts" around the trunk to reconnect the base with the top. These are made from using small (pencil to slightly larger sized dormant shoots from the tree. The following two web sites can tell you how to do bridge grafting in great detail:

http://www.canr.uconn.edu/ces/...

http://www.msue.msu.edu/msue/i...

Thanks for the question. Please feel free to stop in again with another question any time we can help!
