My new home sports a perennial that becomes 8 feet tall with double gold/orange flowers. Leaves are slim and long.
Most neighbors have this same plant in their gardens but no one knows what it could be. Any idea? Thanks

There are several types of native and perennial helianthus that could meet that description as well as of Rudbeckia such as R. nitida 'Goldquelle'; often a nice specimen of such a striking and vigorous plant is adopted and then shared by gardeners so it is not surprising to see a good plant repeated in a neighborhood.
