According to Sunset Western Garden Book, you're in their zone 17, with cool, wet, almost frostless winters and cool summers with frequent fog or wind.

Or, you're in USDA zone 11 - with the same climate description.

You can grow most anything in your zone, with the exception of plants that need a pronounced winter chill for best flower/fruit production (such as apples), or have a high summer heat requirement (such as citrus, hibiscus and gardenia). For plant recommendations, check out a copy of Sunset Western Garden Book. It's full of great advice and most libraries have copies. Good luck with your garden!
