| When should I plan bareroot roses in the uppersouth zone? |
| Roses sold as bareroot are dormant and can be planted anytime after you receive them. Be sure to soak the roots for several hours (or overnight) before planting. Dig a hole large enough for the roots to spread out naturally, then place a small mound of soil in the bottom of the hole and drape the roots over the mound. Position your new rose so the graft (bud union) is 2"-3" above the soil surface. Water well after planting. |
