When should I start tomato seeds indoors for transplanting outdoors? We live in northern Minnesota and are unsure when it would be safe to move them out doors.

Generally, tomatoes are started about 8-12 weeks before transplanting them outside after the last frost date. Be sure they have plenty of light indoors, or they will become spindly the longer they are inside. Your last frost date is about Memorial Day.
