I planted two globe thistle plants last spring, I had wonderful healthy plants all growing season, but no "globes" (blossoms). Any suggestions?

Echinops, or globe thistle, grow best in full sun to part shade, in neutral to slightly acidic, well-draining soils. They're very easy to grow but if over-fertilized or grown in very rich soil, they tend not to flower. Perhaps you've been giving them too much attention? Cut the spent foliage down to ground level now and water only during very dry weather. The plants should flower for you this summer.
