The Q&A Archives: Repellent Plant

Question: We were told that we have a plant that repels mosquitoes. Is there such a critter? Kinda looks like a tomato plant has a scent similar to a repellent.

Answer: There are a few plants that claim to repel mosquitoes, but unless you rub them on your body, I don't believe they work well. But if you want to try use, citronella grass, 'Citrosa' geraniums and thymus citriodora. All available through, Richter's Herbs, Goodwood, Ont. LOC 1AO 905-640-6677
