I planted some lily bulbs given to me last fall. I am new to gardening, and assumed that they would come up in the spring. As I am reading more, I am wondering if they can survive the winter. Have I killed all my chances of having them come up in the spring?

If you purchased hardy lily bulbs (Lilium) and planted them as directed last fall, they should be fine. You should see the green growth tips emerging from the soil sometime around your last average frost date this spring.
