When is the best time to prune Crepe Mrytle trees? We just planted them in the fall and they are rather small.

Crepe myrtles need very little pruning, so don't prune just because you think you should. Instead, maintain a natural form by thinning out crowded growth as your tree matures. The best time to prune a crepe myrtle is in late winter (February) prior to the start of new growth.
