| I bought some coreopsis plants 2 years ago and was told they were an annual. They bloomed all Summer and Fall. Last year I bought more coreopsis and they had blade like leaves and were mostly foilage with a few blooms, I think they were a perennial. I've looked at seed packets ever since and all I can find are perennials. Is there an annual? The profusely blooming one had small leaves. The perennials had blade like leaves. I also tried the one with fern like leaves and it did not do well. Thanks |
| The lanceleafed coreopsis (C. grandiflora) is a perennial, as is the threadleafed form (C. verticillata). Coreopsis tinctoria (Also called Calliopsis) is an annual coreopsis, maybe this is what you had. It does well in warm weather and in dry lean soil. |
