I would like to transplant my two climbing rose bushes to a sunnier location. Do I wait until spring when the foliage turns green or move when dormant? After moving do I trim back the rose stalks?

Move your roses in early spring, while they're still dormant. Water well after transplanting and then prune them. Climbers produce flowers on new stems that grow from old wood. When pruning remove any damaged wood and the old, non-productive canes. Reduce the height of the remaining canes, and your climbers will be all ready for spring.
