I'm looking for a safe herbicide for annual grass and others that grow on a hillside that is planted with "blue carpet" juniper. Some are 5 years old and some 1 year . I would like a selective over the top herbicide that will not harm the junipers. Thanks.

One of the pre-emergent herbicides (such as Casoron) will keep weed seeds from germinating and they are registered for use in woody perennial beds. You'll need to clear the area of weeds prior to application, and apply at the recommended rate so as not to harm your junipers. Be sure to read and follow the directions on the label.
