I have a small outbuilding in my back yard. Where should I plant my garden in respect to it, i.e. north, south, east, or west?

If you are planning a vegetable garden the typical location would be on the south side where the sunlight would be maximized. If you are thinking of a flower garden, most sunny annuals would also prefer the south side. However, flowers can be found that will thrive in any exposure.
